New Class: Have You Ever Wanted to Write (and Publish) a Book?
Friday, May 2, 7-9:30 PM at HCH Institute, Lafayette, CA (or attend by phone!)
If you have ever thought about writing a book (fiction or nonfiction), or publishing something you already have written, you may have hit a number of stumbling blocks – especially in the publishing steps. In this introduction to writing and publishing a book, you’ll learn some basic tricks to getting a book together, written, and published.
HCH Instructor and author Loyd Auerbach has been teaching Publishing (and Media Skills and Public Speaking) at JFK University since 1990, and offers a detailed overview of the mainstream publishing process from outline/proposal to publication, with a ton of practical tips.
But perhaps more important are the new forms of self-publishing, print on demand, and ebook publishing – all of which can be done professionally for well under $100.
Besides creating a potential income stream, having a book can enhance your business and even credibility with the audience (and potential clients) you are trying to reach. Thanks to the new forms of publishing and distribution, getting a book together and out is no longer a daunting process.
About the Instructor: Loyd Auerbach, MS, is the author of 8 books (with a 9th coming in May) and numerous articles for magazines. He has been on faculty at JFK University since 1983, and HCH since 2006. Besides being a parapsychologist, author, speaker, psychic entertainer and chocolatier, he works as a coach for authors and businesspeople who need help with public speaking, media skills, and publicity and promotion. His media appearances number in the thousands! Bring your book ideas and outlines for discussion and advice and discussion of next steps!
Friday May 2, 7:00 to 9:30 at HCH, 3702 Mt. Diablo Blvd., Lafayette, CA
