My Visit to Pocatello, Idaho

Last week (October 21-26), I spent several days in Pocatello, Idaho, hosted by John and Lisa Brian of SPIRO Paranormal.

My itinerary included a lecture (True Tales of Ghosts & Hauntings) at Idaho State University, a Professor Paranormal Psychic Entertainment Show at a local school, a book signing and a Ghost Hunting class — as well as spending time on the Haunted History tours SPIRO conducted in Pocatello on both Friday and Saturday nights.

Have to say it was a great time, and I really have to thank John and Lisa, as well as Brett Yost and the rest of the SPIRO team for making the trip truly fun.

The ISU lecture made the trip possible, especially with the extras John and Lisa were able to tag on. I hope I get the opportunity to return to Pocatello — the people were very nice and welcoming, and the town was inviting.

I do have to mention that the SPIRO team quite atypical of many of the ghost hunting groups I’ve met. They not only were truly interested in upping their investigation-game by learning whatever I could provide (or point them to as far as other sources are concerned), but also in going back over their methodology and seeing how they can both expand what they’re doing and include more of what my field has learned about investigations and the phenomena since the late 1800s (yes, we’re that old).

Not to mention they are a close knit “family” of investigators, all with a great sense of humor (and many with similar movie and TV interests to my own!)

I plan to stay in close touch with SPIRO and hope to get back to Pocatello, and to see them out here in the Bay Area as well.

If you are in a ghost hunting/paranormal investigation group/team that wants to up your game, contact me to see how we might work out either a visit to your neck of the woods or something special via distant delivery. If you have a local college or corporation that might want to book me for a lecture or Professor Paranormal show, it will probably be easier than you think!
